Black Mentors for Black Youth

40% of children on our waitlist identify as Black, and 17% identify as Mixed Race. Many of them are waiting to be matched with a mentor who can understand and connect with their lived experiences, culture and identity, who can help them feel seen, supported and confident in who they are.

Black mentors play an important role in providing representation, building a sense of belonging and helping young people see new possibilities for their future. A consistent, caring mentor can help a young person recognize their strengths, navigate challenges and build the confidence to pursue their goals.

By sharing your time and experiences, you can make a lasting difference in the life of a young person who is waiting for someone to show up for them.
